A little about me…….
I am a medical professional with 30 years of experience, plus I’m also a Nutritionist. My main focus as a nutritionist, is catering to the dietary needs of people with certain medical diagnosis’, like autoimmune disorders, diabetes, impaired renal function, gluten intolerance/allergy, you get the picture, right? I’m a huge advocate of the Keto diet, as it’s anti inflammatory properties are a huge benefit for people with autoimmune disorders, which is my inspiration to add these topics to my blog!
A little reveal……
Why do I focus on autoimmune disorders? I have Multiple Sclerosis! Inflammation plays a huge part in MS, and is the main cause of exacerbations. Keeping the amount of inflammation to a minimum is key to controlling MS (in addition to the disease modifying therapies). The keto diet is perfect for this aspect, and has been proven to work in most cases. Plus you lose weight on top of reducing inflammation, another benefit! I have tons of keto recipes and tips that I’ll be adding soon, so if you’re interested in learning more about the keto diet, check back soon (a good way to do that is to subscribe to my blog!)!
